Malabar Tamarind – Kudampuli

Kudampuli or Malabar Tamarind is a magical fruit, rich in Vitamin C, looks like a small pumpkin and is green to pale yellow in color.This fruit has many vital medicinal uses and health benefits. Usually the fruits are dried and then used in cooking, when dried they look almost black. Kudampuli has a unique sharp sour taste. Scientific name of kudampuli is Garcinia Cambogia.
